AskNikki

Hi everybody!

Okay like I said at the end of my latest blog I was thinking about doing an advice section on my blog called AskNikki. I got this really good idea from Aiko about making it anonymous and letting you guys email it to me.

So I thought it out more and decided that I would make an email for just this blog that you can email me with your problems or any situation you are stuck in and I will try my best to help you guys out and come up with a few solutions for you instead of just one just in case that doesn’t work.

Well this is my email that you can contact me on and email me your problems – blueeyedvoices@yahoo.co.uk

I am promising now anything you say to me I will not use your name on my blog you will defiantly be made anonymous as I know it’s very difficult and sometimes can be embarrassing to tell people your problems but this is a way to get help and no one will ever know that it came from you.
I will do both of these things, number 1 I will check my email every day and when I post a blog I will pick 1 question and do that at the end but also at the same time I will be blogging every Wednesday an AskNikki if I get enough questions each week.

That’s all for this blog today but again another shout out to Aiko for giving me the idea of using an email for it so thank you for that again.

Hope you enjoyed this week’s blog.

D.I.Y

So it’s been a while. Sorry for not posting for quite a long time I have been extremely busy with all my GCSE’s and I wanted to have my full concentration on them and made them my top priority so I couldn’t post a blog.

Enough about that lets get to the D.I.Y Tie Dye T-shirts!
So my friend luyanda and I decided we were going to do some D.I.Y Tie Dye t-shirts and it gave me a great idea for a blog haha what’s better than a how to do guide to revive a blog.

Equipment
. Pair of gloves
. A bucket or a dish (big enough to fill 6litres of water)
. T-shirts
. A small dish (big enough for 500ml of water)
. Sea salt or normal salt 250g
. Hand wash dye
. Elastic Bands
. Spoon

Method

Step 1
Add 6 litres of warm water to your bucket or dish then
add 500ml of warm water to the small dish.

Step 2
Add your dye to the small dish and mix it until all the dye has dissolved.

 Step 3

Add the small dish with the dissolved dye into the big dish of water.

Step 4

Add all the salt into the dish that you just poured the dye into.

Step 5

Mix it altogether and stir it frequently for 45 minutes.

Step 6

Whilst you are stirring get your t-shirt and start attaching the elastic bands to it.

Step 7

There are many different ways to do this to get a certain design.
This image here are the ways you can do It with their results

Tie Dye a Shirt Step 1 Version 6.jpg

This way will make stripes on your t-shirt.

Tie Dye a Shirt Step 2 Version 7.jpg

This will create a spiral effect.

Tie Dye a Shirt Step 3 Version 7.jpg

This will create a polka dot effect.

I used the common method. This is when u pinch pieces of your t-shirt and wrap an elastic band around it tightly all over the t-shirt.
It turned out like this.

Step 8

After it has been 45 minutes and you have finished putting elastic bands on your t-shirt put your gloves on and dunk that t-shirt in the water.

Step 9

This part is up to you it depends on how you want your t-shirt. The longer you keep the t-shirt in the water the darker it will be. I kept mine in for about 10 minutes.

  Step 10

Then run the t-shirt under the cold tap, then remove the elastic bands from the t-shirt and stick the t-shirt into the washer.

Step 11
Once the t-shirt has been washed hang it up to dry. When it has tried you have your own D.I.Y Tie Dye T-shirt.

I hoped you enjoyed this D.I.Y.

One last thing I was thinking about doing an advice section on here like an AskNikki column.
Comment down below on what you think about this idea and how you would like me to do it.
